Before starting CrossFit in 2017, I had always wanted to be fit but I never did more than ride the exercise bike at the gym in college or go running with friends. I had heard about CrossFit but was too intimidated to try it out. After becoming a mom, I knew I needed to do something more. I wanted to be an example to my two sons. After a few classes at JCCF, I was hooked.
Crossfit has made me a more confident person. I’m more willing to try new things inside and outside of the gym. My husband comes to the gym too and we’ve made fitness a permanent part of our lifestyle.
I became a coach because I love meeting people and talking to people. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I had been trained as a marriage and family therapist. Coaching was another way for me to help people feel better and live healthier lives.
As a coach, my goal is to help athletes gain confidence in their bodies and their abilities. I want to keep the workouts safe but challenging for everyone so that athletes want to keep coming back.
Outside of the gym, I like to read, bake, and garden.
